The publisher will make every effort to meet the author's expectations in layout and design from cover to interior. Revisions should be made before the work is submitted. Small corrections will be allowed. If the winning author refuses the publisher's final product, s/he may refuse publication and the prize and be refunded his/her original entry fee. In this case, the second place entry will be awarded publication and the prize money, which may extend the release date of the winning manuscript beyond December 31, 2017. Every effort will be made to avoid this scenario.
Submission of work is acknowledgment by the author that the work is his/her intellectual and creative property and that s/he has permission to reprint all previously published pieces of the work that may have appeared in journals, online, or elsewhere.
The work as a whole must not have already been published elsewhere online or in print.
The winning work will be available for sale only as a hard copy. There will be no e-book.
After a period of one year, the author will have the option of discontinuing publication with Lit Fest Press and retain all future rights of publication, or the author may leave the work with the press for as long as s/he desires.
